He endeavored all the possibilities from personal remedies to the greatest minds in his palace but nothing seemed to work out. His uneasiness pulled up the graph to the epitome.
One day, a person approached the king with a solution to his problem.
The king was delighted and said, “If you sort out this issue I will definitely reward you with an income you ask for?”
He replied to the king, “Actually it isn’t me but a very respected saint named Bodhidharma, who can solve this.”
The next day king along with his servicemen visited Bodhidharma hoping to find all his answers.
Upon reaching there, the king inquisitively asked if he could help him to find mental peace and calmness?
The saint remained unaffected and didn’t even eye the king. The king again tried to seek the saint’s attention by asking, “Can you pull me out of this vicious cycle of agitation?”
The saint finally asked the king,” why is your mind not peaceful?”
Then the king explains that despite of a luxurious life, philanthropy acts and efforts, I am not able to calm my mind.
After listening this, Saint smiled and told the king to visit him next day. The king felt very happy with his kind response. But the strange thing was, he asked him to come with his anxious self along.

Bodhidharma noticed the perplexed look on the king, hence, asked him to sit with closed eyes and search for his lost anxious mind.
The king spent his entire day searching for his lost anxious mind but couldn’t find it. He did the same thing for the next 2 days but failed to find his anxious mind.
On the third day when he was following the same routine, Bodhidharma didn’t wake him up.
Next morning when king finally opened his eyes, he bowed in front of Bodhidharma to show his gratitude and respect. He says, “I was not able to find my anxious mind but I find peace within me”.
